Delivery Improvement
As with any asset management strategy, while the plan is a vital step it is the delivery of the actual work that is most important and value added activity.
The key issue is how to improve the "bang for buck" with the funding and resources available. By example a client requested a review of its delivery approach, the outcome was a complete overhaul of its service contracts to amalgamated single accountability agreements, that reduced administration costs and improved asset performance to a standard never achieved before.
Often In-house trade staff are seen by senior management as inferior to external contractors. However, one of our clients using our innovative In-sourcing methodology implemented major changes achieving a 20% increase in productivity. This approach as one Union official remarked was "a best practice outcome".
